ROLE: ServiceNow Developer/Admin

[IMP. NOTE: The project is looking for a candidate who has both a ServiceNow certification and experience with ServiceDesk. They are looking for someone that can think and act independently, interact with clients, and create their own designs, not just someone who can configure the tool based on others specifications.]

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in an implementation of a new ServiceNow application. The candidate will provide technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to Service Management best practices. The role will also be responsible for implementing application solutions based on conceptual design requirements.

Responsibilities:

* Configuration/Customization of the ServiceNow system including workflows

* Use of scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality to create script to automate routine tasks being done in ServiceNow

* Receives specifications from the project team and delivers a product/release that meets the needs presented

* Creates Technical Specifications Documentation

* Articulates technical concepts using easily understandable business language

* Loads, manipulates and maintains data between ServiceNow and other systems

* Develops test plans and deployment for ServiceNow implementation

* Performs System and integration testing with sample/live data

* Establishes and follows governance to allow for cohesive development

Ideal Experience:

The candidate should possess hands-on experience with administration and customization of an enterprise service management application, preferably ServiceNow. Ability to take up challenges, adapt to the business needs, and stay focused on delivering results are essential to the success of this role. Solid experience with client scripting (JavaScript, HTML) is a plus.

* 2-4+ years of experience as a System Administrator of ServiceNow

* 4-6+ years of experience in IT Service Delivery

* 2-4+ years of experience in ServiceNow scripting

* 2-4+ years creating complicated workflows for service delivery

* Experience with integrating to other systems

* 4+ years of experience using JavaScript or HTML, good knowledge of web design a plus

* General understanding of Networking

* Previous experience with relational databases such as MySQL a plus

* Previous experience with ServiceNow Automation a plus

* Ability to clearly and effectively express ideas and messages via speech and writing

* Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze and examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions

* Use general office application tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio)
